Chris Weigant: Attach DADT Repeal to Tax-Cut Bill

And here's a clever political proposal: Chris Weigant suggests removing the don't ask, don't tell repeal from the military budget bill and attaching it to the tax-cut deal.

Yes.  Get our Congressfolks to vote on monetary issues, and you'll get them to vote on what really counts for them.  Human rights be damned.  "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Luke 12:34, Matthew 6:21).

Get our senators to vote on something that involves their own self-interest, and attach legislation designed to protect a stigmatized group of people from discrimination, and we might finally get some much-needed movement in the direction of principle.  And meaningful democracy.
