Paris Archbishop Upholds Sanctions Against Vatican "Expert" on Homosexuality, Msgr. Tony Anatrella

A tidbit of news that should not escape our notice as Vigano et al. try to stage a coup toppling Pope Francis, with overt allegations that he has protected a "homosexual network" of church dignitaries who are responsible for the abuse crisis:

Fr. Philippe Lefebvre, who has long called for church officials to take action about Monsignor Tony Anatrella, the Vatican "expert" on homosexuality, is reporting today that the archbishop of Parish has upheld his sanctions against Anatrella on 6 July.

Multiple witnesses have come forward to say that they went to Anatrella for therapy, many of them hoping to be "cured" of homosexuality, and he molested them. These allegations were found credible by church officials after long, long investigation and Anatrella was barred from exercising his priestly faculties.

Anatrella has been the Vatican's go-to man on the dangers of homosexuality in the priesthood. He was the main engineer of the ban on gay priests, and claims that "gender ideology" is infecting Catholic thinking.

After the archbishop of Paris censured Anatrella in July, his supporters pushed back and demanded an investigation of the investigation. The outcome is, as Fr. Lefebvre reports, that the archbishop of Paris has upheld his sanctions against Anatrella.

(Thanks to my Facebook friend Jean-François Garneau for pointing me to this statement by Fr. Philippe Lefebvre.)
