2) This is true. But, of course, the reality is, the bishops have NEVER worked with ALL members of the church.

For that matter, neither has the Commonweal community, which provides a voice primarily for affluent white heterosexual Catholics.

3) The Commonweal community has been conspicuously resistant to including the voices of LGBT Catholics, and has treated us as if we are not bona fide members of the church worth being included in conversations about the future of the church.

4) And this is not even to mention of how the movers and shakers of the Commonweal community treated discussions of racism as a primary factor motivating Trump voters in the 2016 elections.
