Live Citizen's Fix*Us Contest: A Chance to Offer Solutions

As the fall elections in the U.S. elicit political debate, I'd like to draw readers' attention to an online civic engagement project that invites Americans to offer solutions to the nation's serious problems.  This is Live Citizen's fix*us contest.

The contest invites you to submit your solutions to problems in the areas of the economy, healthcare, social issues, immigration, and foreign policy.  Five winners will be selected when the competition ends on 31 October, and each will be awarded a $5,000 gift to be distributed to his/her charities of choice.

The video at the top of the posting provides further information about the Live Citizen project, which was started by Advanced Video Communications in 2008.
