Strange, isn't it? When it's a question of sending busloads of students to march against abortion in "pro-life" marches, Catholic schools have no qualms whatsoever about encouraging open protest by their students.1)— William D. Lindsey (@wdlindsy) March 14, 2018
But when it's a matter of a pro-life march for gun control, suddenly many Catholic schools discover it's better for their students to "pray" than to march.— William D. Lindsey (@wdlindsy) March 14, 2018
This sort of gives away the whole "pro-life" game, does it not? 2)

8 in 10 white evangelicals & 6 in 10 white Catholics & Mormons elected Donald Trump, claiming "pro-life" motivation.— William D. Lindsey (@wdlindsy) November 6, 2017
I will not forget.
If you think about it, this is a story about when "praying" isn't praying at all — any more than "pro-life" is actually pro-life in what the "pro-life" movement has made of itself. It's a story about the capacity of people to lie to themselves spectacularly and to lie to others, as they claim the highest of ideals and the moral high road. While the road they walk along (and lead others along) is anything but the high road (see: Trump presidency, for which 6 in 10 white "pro-life" Catholics voted) . . . .
