Buy Viganò's Attack on Francis, and You're Buying a Vicious, Orchestrated Anti-LGBTQ Attack

1) Buy Vigano's twisted tales if you wish. But if you do so, don't claim — not ever again — that you have any concern about LGBTQ people and their place in the world or in the church.

Jason Horowitz, "Pope Francis Long Knew of Cardinal’s Abuse and Must Resign, Archbishop Says":

The willingness of the pope and his allies to reach out to gay Catholics has infuriated conservatives, many of whom, like Archbishop Viganò, blame homosexuals for the sex abuse crisis. The pope has argued that the abuse is a symptom of a culture of privilege and imperviousness among priests who value the church’s traditions over its parishioners.

2) This is a vicious, orchestrated anti-LGBTQ attack that is deliberately targeting and using LGBTQ human beings to score points in intra-hierarchical battles. Vigano is not acting alone.

3) As in the Kim Davis debacle, he's mounting this attack with some of the worst gay-bashers in the American political-religious context. Buy his twisted tales about homosexual conspiracies driving the abuse cover-up and you're buying into their gay-bashing politics.
