At a posting at the Commonweal blog site yesterday, Grant Gallicho notes that in a single day, Catholic officials announced
1. That the Leadership Conference of Women Religious is to be reformed;
2. The anti-semitic, misogynistic, homophobic, and traditionalist schismatic Society of St. Pius X is to be welcomed back with open arms;
3. And the bishops have written to Congress and been rebuffed by Speaker Boehner for doing so.
To which reader Kathy Pluth responds:
Heck yeah. . . .
God bless the magisterium.
And what puzzles me about Kathy's comments: what on earth does Philip Pullman have to do with this run-down of the accomplishments of our very busy, busy little Catholic church bees in a single day?
