Questions to Ask in Light of Michael Brown and Eric Garner: Who Gets Blamed and Who Gets Exonerated? (Remembering the Philadelphia Gay-Bashing Story)

Due to the way in which news memes flare and then gutter out, many of us may have forgotten about that ugly gay-bashing incident invovling graduates of a Catholic school near Philadelphia last year.

Scott Wooledge hasn't forgotten, though. His tweet at the head of the posting is one in a series he's been posting at his Twitter page (see here, here, here, here, and here) following the announcement that the grand jury in New York will not bring a conviction against Officer Daniel Pantaleo in the choking death of Eric Garner. Scott obviously wants to make a strong point about who gets to do what to whom, in the American system of justice.

About who gets charged and who gets off entirely free . . . . About who gets blamed and who gets exonerated . . . . About the inbuilt bias of our criminal justice system . . . .

A point that another tweeter, Francesco, makes with the following tweet

A point that needs to be made.
